To kick off the New Year I have decided to try and post more on here. I feel due to me being stuck in the summer and obsessed with a bright pink lip at the moment, it would be suitable to share my current addiction.
Having red hair can limit what make up you can wear, whether it be toning down the brows or avoiding certain lip colours, it makes it quite difficult. Being a pale girl I cannot pull off a red lip, so here's my alternatives:
Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Gloss in 130 Fuchsia Flash is a good way to ease your way in to a bright pink. It comes off very sheer on the lips, however can be layered. It smells very sherbity but is very smooth on the lips and is so shiny! The colour pay off can be subtle so worn in the office or layered up on a night out.
Avon Glazewear Dazzle in Fuchsia Fantasy is a good step up from the Maybelline, The colour pay off is vibrant and is exactly the colour in the tube. This is very glittery and you only need a thin layer to avoid the gritty feel, This is my go to on a night out if I can't chose a lip colour as it's so wearable and easy to pull off.
Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker in Whoppink is that perfect cream lipstick look. Lipgloss with the colour pay off of a lipstick but still has that creamy consistency. I much prefer this formula to the old ones, they used to be very sheer and made your lips feel like they're falling off. I can't say it makes your lips any fuller, and you do have to be careful about only getting this on your lips and nowhere else! This stays on for hours however be careful about wearing this everyday if you're not very brave like me, this is one I only touch on a night out!
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lips, this has no colour, this is gorgeous however can be a pain. You have to have the special sharpener which I would've put me off buying it had I known at the time. But again, this can be layered and is very glossy and nice to wear, just not a very practical product.
And finally, Ted Baker Lip Crayon, these don't have names for the colours though, This is again very easy to wear, however for reapplication you do need to wipe it off and reapply or it is very gritty. Very sheer but again can be layered easily and anyone can pull this off no matter how brave you are!
